Angat Reservoir’s Major Tributaries, “Matulid River” Experiences Very Low Water Level

The Matulid River, one of Angat reservoir’s major tributaries runs dry and currently experiencing a very low water level since Sunday (June 16, 2019).

Over the past few months, Filipino water consumers are experiencing water outage due to the El Niño phenomenon.

The dry season leads different water companies to set water service interruptions causing inconvenience to Filipino consumers.

Several water companies also urged the consumers to conserve water due to the decreasing water level in various dams nationwide.

On Sunday, Matulid River, one of Angat reservoir’s major tributaries run dry.

The National Water Resource Board advised the residents of Metro Manila to conserve water due to the lack of rainfall.

The water concessionaires also warned the consumers of possible water interruption and water rationing in Metro Manila as the dam water level dipped.
