Malacañang Palace Declares June 17 (Monday) As Special Holiday in These Areas

Malacañang Palace declared June 17, 2019 (Monday) as a special non-working holiday in different cities and municipalities in the Philippines.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea signed various proclamations declaring June 17 as a special non-working holiday in three cities and municipalities in Visayas and Mindanao.

The proclamations allow the people to have the full opportunity to celebrate the event in their respective areas.

  • Proclamation No. 737 – Declares June 17 as a special non-working holiday in Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu in observance of its 58th Charter anniversary.
  • Proclamation No.738 – Declares the date as a special non-working holiday in the municipality of Bindoy, Negros Oriental in commemoration of its 70th Charter anniversary.
  • Proclamation No. 739 – Declares a special non-working holiday in the municipality of Maco, Compostela Valley for the celebration of its 52nd founding anniversary.

Earlier this week, Palace also declared June 15 (Saturday) as special non-working holidays in Angeles City, Pampanga, and in General Santos City.
