PBB Otso: This Is How Sky Handled Accusations About His Gender

PBB Otso housemate Sky handled criticisms about his gender this way.

PBB OTSO – The PBB Otso male housemate Sky has this way of handling accusations about his gender which viewers have commended.

The new set of adult housemates has finally entered the Pinoy Big Brother house. The group is composed of persons from different parts of the country and from the various walks of life set to live together for a certain amount of time and only the strong ones will survive.

And upon entering, the female housemates such as Hasna, Diana, Mae, and Franki has already noticed something about Sky. The male housemate is very keen when it comes to self care and skin care having all the products needed to particular parts of the body which is accordingly quite not a normal thing with men.

With the stronger relationship they continue to build with each other, Mae and Sky started to get closer that it reached the point where Mae is starting to tease him, specifically, his gender preference. She’s doubting him being gay and even expressed of wanting to help him get out of the closet.

In a random conversation of the housemates, Mae started to tease him again about being “bakla”. With this, he clapped back, “Stereotype si Mae eh. Stereotyping. So, pag hindi pasok dun sa masculine na pananaw niya, bakla na. Yan eh… Sakit yan sa lipunan.”

Now, in defense when it comes to the accusations about his preference, Sky indicated that he is not offended at all as he got used to it already. Ever since, people have already misinterpreted his character being so clean, maintaining fair complexion, and for being neat always.

Sky sees gender as a spectrum – an infinite one and one just have to respect the choice of the other. He confessed to Kuya, “Now, I see myself as a heterosexual male. But if you would ask me Kuya if I’m open to maybe falling in love to another man, to a gay person, to a lesbian… I don’t see anything wrong about that, Kuya. Ayoko pong maging biktima ng mga labels. Ayoko pong maging parte nung pagbi-victimize po ng ibang tao. So, if you’ll ask me Kuya, I’ll be open. Ang mas pinaniniwalaan ko po not the gender but I’m serious about love… I’m serious about falling in love. Seryoso po ako sa pag-ibig at sa tingin ko po yun po yung mas makapangyarihan – pag-ibig over any gender…”
