King From Jeddah Congratulates President Rodrigo Duterte On Independence Day

KING – King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Saudi extended his congratulatory message to President Rodrigo Duterte on Independence Day.

Yesterday, June 12, 2019, marks the 121st year of the annual celebration to commemorate the Philippine’s independence from the grasp of foreign colonizers. Several influential personalities have shared their thoughts and messages for their fellow countrymen.

Other nations, such as Dubai in UAE have joined the celebration by honoring Filipino freedom.

The colors of the Philippine Flag was displayed on the World’s Tallest Building – the Burj Khalifa in Dubai – to celebrate with the Philippine Independence Day.

Meanwhile, in Jeddah, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia – also the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques – have extended his congratulatory remarks on cable for the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on the annual event celebrating the state’s freedom.

In the cable, the Saudi Arabian King made wishes of positivity for the Filipino leader.

He wished President Duterte “constant good health and happiness.”

And for the Filipino people he wished for “steady progress and prosperity.”

Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has been the reigning King of Saudi Arabia since January 23rd back in 2015. He is also the Saudi Arabia’s Prime Minister and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

Before he got to his current high status, he was once the Deputy Governor of Riyadh and also the Governor of Riyadh. He remained as Governor for 48 long years starting from 1963 to 2011.

Following this, he was appointed as the Minister of Defense.

Among all the nation leaders in the world, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is the 10th oldest leaders that are still serving as of today.
