Who must be blamed of what happened to Eddie Garcia on the set of Rosang Agimat?
After the accident that happened to veteran actor Eddie Garcia while taping for Kapuso series Rosang Agimat, the question now arises, “who must be blamed?”
Initially, many thought that Eddie had a heart attack during the taping as he collapsed. The Kapuso network reported this and cited a source who said that the actor had a “severe heart attack”.
On the other hand, based on a previous report, a relative of the 90-year-old TV and movie legend said that he tripped on a cable.
One factor that added dismay to netizens who saw the video of the incident was the absence of a medical team.
Cultural activist/writer Katrina Stuart Santiago has this post:
Entertainment columnist Noel Ferrer of PEP is calling out the attention of ACTORS’ GUILD. He is asking for an “entity or office that should be institutionally tasked to look after the welfare of our entertainment workers.”
Columnist Gorgy Rula, on the other hand, said that an investigation should be done to determine the shortcoming or negligence.
Rula added that preparedness should be observed all the time in order to respond to an accident immediately.
According to him, several veteran actors said that TV networks should have a specific budget for the safety of the talents.
Shalala cited a situation that must be done to veteran talents like Anita Linda, based on the article.
“Nang mag-shoot si Miss Anita Linda sa launching film kong Echoserang Frog, ipinasundo siya sa bahay at pinag-stay siya ng direktor naming si Joven Tan sa van na aircon.
“Hindi siya pinaghintay nang matagal. Priority siya. At pagkatapos ay ipinahatid pauwi.
“Dapat lang pahalagahan at ingatan ang senior stars natin. Living treasures sila ng entertainment industry.”
