Netizens demanded a public apology from Barbie Imperial due to her tweet about Eddie Garcia
Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial shared a careless tweet about veteran actor Eddie Garcia and netizens demanded her to have a public apology.
News about Eddie circulated on social media and news sites last weekend. The veteran actor collapsed while taping for his new Kapuso series Rosang Agimat.
Initially, reports came out that he had a heart attack. However, a relative of the 90-year-old actor revealed that he tripped on a cable and lost his consciousness when he fell.
He was brought to a hospital in Pasig City and later, he was transferred to Makati Medical Center.
Several celebrities in the Philippine entertainment industry expressed their worries for the veteran actor. Some offered and asked prayers for his fast recovery.
One of the celebrities who used the social media to express sympathy to Eddie Garcia was Barbie Imperial.
However, her tweet received bashing from netizens because she believed the unverified news that allegedly Eddie passed away. Based on the report from Bandera the actress had this tweet:
“It has always been my dream to work with the one and only Oragon, Mr. Eddie Garcia. It’s so sad that he passed away. Rest in peace po, sir, you are my inspiration. Truly an Oragon.”
The actress has already deleted her post after she received criticisms for posting that kind of tweet without making sure if it was true or not.
On the other hand, Fashion Pulis was able to secure a screenshot of her tweet.
For several netizens, deleting the post is not just enough. According to the report, they are demanding Barbie Imperial to have her public apology.
