10 OFWS – The 10 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) experienced racism while trying buying shoes in Kuwait.

It’s upsetting to know that there are still lots of people around the world who discriminate someone who is different from their race.

Most of these people feel so superior towards the people who work, stay, or visit in their country.

In a previous article, there was a Filipina former VJ Belinda Panelo who experienced racism in the South California City of Playa Vista.

She and her son went out for coffee when and aged American woman started questioning what race she was.

Based on a report from Expat Readers, 10 OFWs experienced racism in an Adidas store in Al Hamra, Kuwait.

Adidas’ Yeezy sneakers are considered one of the most trending shoes and Filipinos doesn’t want to be left behind as it’s a limited release. So they lined up very early and wait for the store to open.

According to the report, the 10 OFWs were the first ones to arrive at the mall. They were treated formally until the store’s representative announced something very racist.

He said Kuwaitis will be catered or prioritized first. After his announcement, Kuwaiti men rushed to get inside the store.

Based on the report, one of the10 OFWs questioned their policy by saying, “What about us?

The store’s representative sarcastically laughed and said, “Filipino want to buy shoes?” The Kuwaiti people in the area laughed at the Filipino men.

The encounter of the racist representative and the Pinoys was recorded in a video. The mall’s staff are investigating the issue.
