Former Janitor, Factory Worker Graduates College Summa Cum Laude from Caraga State University
FORMER JANITOR – The former janitor, factory worker, and baker finished college summa cum laude from Caraga State University.
Filipinos are considered one of the hard-working people in the world. Lots of foreigners have remarked them as a very strong-willed person.
They gathered strength from their family or loved ones who loved them so much that’s why they don’t act lazy in their jobs.
Lots of Filipinos who came from a very poor family but have succeeded in life and became wealthy like Manny Pacquiao, Vice Ganda, and Coco Martin among others.
These celebrities know that they have to crawl before they get to the top and they never forget where they came from.
Aside from those celebrities, a man named Abzonie Reño has inspired lots of people with his story.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN News, after he graduated high school in 2008 he decided to go to Manila to earn money for him and his family.
The 27-year-old worked there as a factory worker, vendor, baker, security guard, houseboy and janitor for several years.
According to the report, the former janitor decided to finish his studies. On May 20, he graduated summa cum laude for his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, Major in Math degree.
“For seven years its been my dream na makapag-aral ulit tapos siyempre po inspired po ako na galingan po siguro kasi matanda na ako,” he said.
Based on the report, the former janitor is the first ever summa cum laude in Caraga State university – Ampayon Butuan City campus.
“Sobrang saya po proud sa sarili kasi ‘yun nga hindi ako bumalik ng pag-aaral para mag-excel bumalik lang ako para makapagtapos lang po pero sobra-sobra pa po yung binigay ni Lord,” said Abzonie.
