Pia Wurtzbach shared her thoughts about the Binibining Pilipinas 2019 candidates
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach shared her thoughts about the candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2019.
Pia can be called a “pro” when it comes to pageantry. She joined the national pageant three times before she got the chance to represent the Philippines in Miss Universe.
With that, she has a lot of knowledge in pageantry. However, referring to this year’s batch of Binibining Pilipinas candidates, Pia has noticed they are different, in a good way.
As the pageant night is fast approaching, the lovely ladies from different cities and provinces in the Philippines have somehow shown to the public their personalities.
Apparently, Pia saw the potential in them. She said that the candidates can really shine in the international competition, based on the article from The Philippine Star.
“Although I haven’t memorized all their names, tsaka ‘yung probinsya nila, aware naman ako. Ang daming magaganda ngayon,” the 3rd Pinay Miss Universe said.
Aside from this, she saw that the this batch is really prepared for pageant abroad.
“Malakas ‘yung batch ngayon and I feel they are beyond prepared. Everybody looks good, everybody speaks well, lahat may advocacy, parang napaghandaan talaga. At lahat may pasabog na pictures ha,” Pia said.
She also noted that the girls are more active now than during her time, based on the report.
The Miss Universe 2015 has this remark about the Binibining Pilipinas 2019 candidates: “Every day may ‘oh bago nanaman’ (photos). I’m thinking like, ‘Where do they have the time to take these pictures?’ Because when I was competing, pagod na pagod ako at wala akong time mag-glamor shots. Competitive na kasi talaga ngayon.”
The pageant night of Binibining Pilipinas 2019 is set to take place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on June 9.
