Official Message of President Duterte to Muslims amid Eid’l Fitr Celebration
PRESIDENT DUTERTE – The official Eid’l Fitr message of Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the Muslim people was released.
Today, June 5, 2019, the Muslim community is celebrating the Eid’l Fitr or the end of Ramadan, a season of fasting for the Muslim people. It was previously declared as a holiday in the Philippines.
Undeniably, the Philippines has a huge community of Muslims and many people are now deeply participating in the celebration.
Recently, as President of the Philippines, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has released a message for the Muslim people amid the Eid’l Fitr celebration.
Based on a social media post on the Facebook page of Rappler, in his message, the President expressed his warm greetings to the Muslim people around the world.
The President also recognized the event and tagged it as a “solemn occasion” that gathers the Muslim people. He stated that the Filipino nation joins the Muslim community in the offering of prayers and thanksgiving.
Pres. Duterte also expressed his hope that today would be “a time for reflection, enlightenment, and renewal of commitment to a much stronger devotion to the Almighty”.
