Math Teachers in Bacoor Uses Comfort Room As Their Faculty Room
MATH TEACHERS – The Math teachers in Bacoor were forced to use the comfort room as their faculty room.
Lack of classrooms is one of the issues the Department of Education is facing right now in the Philippines.
This is due to the increasing numbers of students in public high schools and elementary nationwide.
This problem is suffered by both students and the teachers. The DepEd were doing their best to end this issue.
Fortunately, the teachers are so committed and passionate with their job. They tackle new and old problems just to teach his/her students.
Based on a report from GMA Balitambayan, the high school Math teachers in Bacoor uses the comfort room as their faculty room.
They endure the presence of the sink and toilets in their room since the school lacked classrooms. Their previous faculty room is now used as a classroom for the students.
According to the report, a Math teacher named Jacklyn Domino said they just covered the toilet bowl with curtains and used the sink as a rack for their things.
“Takpan na lang ‘yung toilet bowl ng kurtina para if ever na kumakain hindi namin nakikita,” said Domino.
The English teachers were positioned in the hallway while the MAPEH teachers are located in the old stockroom of the library.
These teachers lost their faculty room after the single shift was implemented for this school year.
Based on the report, the school division superintended have already demanded that those teachers will be transferred in a more spacious room in the school.
Bacoor National High School principal Anita Rom said she’ll be transferring them in a sizable space since the student does not have enough CR to utilize.
“Ibabalik ko sila dito sa maluwag ang space makakakilos sila ng maalwan, maayos at ang CR magamit ng bata,” said Rom.
