Calvin Abueva answered the “bastusan” issue involving him and Maika Rivera
Phoenix Fuel Master player Calvin Abueva has broken his silence on “bastusan” issue with Star Magic artist Maika Rivera.
Maika is the girlfriend of Ray Parks who is playing for Blackwater Elite in Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
During the recent game between Pheonix and Blackwater, the female celebrity was there to cheer for her boyfriend.
The issue started when allegedly Maika called Calvin “monkey”. Based on a previous report, she denied that and accused the basketball player of displaying lewd behavior towards her.
When Calvin was fouled out, Maika claimed that she and her friends just said “bye” to him but in return, allegedly the player displayed “kabastusan”.
However, on his recent social media live post, Calvin Abueva explained his side. He said that he was just triggered because Maika Rivera called him “monkey” and said the F-word to him when he was fouled out.
“Binalik ko lang and pang-aasar ko sa kaniya,” the Phoenix player said.
He also reiterated that the issue started from the other camp.
“Oo, nabatos siya, pero nabastos din ako,” Calvin said.
He also addressed people who criticized him because of this issue. The player said that before bashing people should ask his side first. Then, he said his apology to Ray Parks but not to Maika Rivera.
“Bro, sa’yo lang ako mag-sosorry dahil I know naging okay naman tayo but I don’t know your girlfriend,” he said.
Calvin Abueva added, “hindi ako nag-umpisa pero nag-aapologize ako kay Ray Parks pero sa girlfriend niya, this is not my fault.”
Because of this explanation from the player, his fans expressed support for him.
