There has been a massive divert of attention from personal computers to mobile phones regarding internet use in the past years. People have been using phones mostly since the tech development allowed it to have access to the internet.

To cater to demands for faster connections, TELECOMs in the Philippines have planned to launch 5G Networks.

In the recent report of OpenSignal, after the company’s analysis, Philippines was found to have its mobile internet speed slower than most countries.

Out of 87 countries tested, Philippines ranked 11th in the countries with the slowest upload speed and 16th in the list with the slowest download speed.

OpenSignal recently published a report “The State of Mobile Network Experience” where it can be seen that the Philippines was included in the 20 countries with the slowest download speed that could even reach under 10 Mbps.

The 7Mbps download speed of the Philippines was a tad bit better than Indonesia’s 6.9Mbps and India’s 6.8Mbps.

Among all the countries, South Korea has the fastest mobile internet speed that could reach up to 50Mbps. Right next to them, is Norway with a speed of 48.2Mbps.

This is according to an article from PhilStar.

For the upload speed, the country’s speed runs at 2.2Mbs, still a bit higher than India and Ivory Coast whose download speed was only at 2.1Mbps.

Denmark and South Korea topped the countries with the fastest upload speed. Both having a speed of 15Mbps. Slowest upload speed for mobile users was at Iraq, where the speed only runs at under 1Mbps.

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
