7 SOUTH KOREANS – At least 7 South Korean were killed after a tourist boat capsizes in Hungary’s Danube River.
A pleasure boat is a large boat used for family, friends, or personal recreation. It tours on rivers, seas, or lakes.

According to the report, South Korean’s pleasure boat easily flipped on the river due to the strong current and rainstorms.
Police officers said the boat ‘Mermaid’ had 33 South Korean passengers and 2 crew. South Korean embassy confirmed that the foreign tourist includes children.
An ambulance spokesman said they have recovered 14 people from the water and seven of them were dead.

Based on the report, dozens of emergency vehicles flock on the location to rescue the victims of the flood. Emergency rescue chief said the strong currents may have carried the foreigners on the downstream.
A shipping expert told the media that the pleasure boat collided with the tourist’s vessel and made it sunk very quickly.
“We are mobilizing every resource we have to protect human lives,” they said.

The expert also said the Mermaid has been receiving regular maintenance since it started its operation in 2003.
