BSP Executives Still Highest Paid Government Officials According to COA
The Commission on Audit (COA) revealed that the executives of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) are still the highest paid government officials.
BSP executives dominated the list of highest paid government officials based on COA’s Report on Salaries and Allowances (ROSA).
The late BSP governor Nestor Espenilla Jr. remains on the top spot for receiving P21.047 million in 2018.
At the age of 60, Espenilla who received a total pay of P12.462 million in 2017 died of cancer on February 23.
Former budget secretary Benjamin Diokno replaced the position of Espenilla after he passed away.
Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) president and chief executive officer Cecilia Borromeo get the second spot after receiving P15.803 million.
BSP deputy governor for monetary and economics Diwa Guinigundo with a total pay of Php 14.411 million dropped on the third spot.
Maria Almasara Cyd Tuaño-Amador, deputy governor for resource management of BSP, obtained the fourth spot with P13.867 million total pay.
The fifth spot was acquired by BSP deputy governor for financial supervision Chuchi Fonacier who received a total pay of P13.504 million.
BSP assistant governor for financial market operations Ma. Ramona Gertrudes Santiago landed on the seventh place.
BSP assistant governor for International monetary affairs and surveillance Wilhelmina Mañalac obtained the 10th spot.
