Technical problems during the elections are very difficult to avoid. There were several reports of technical problems during the national elections conducted today.

Recently, a wrongly inserted ballot caused a vote counting machine to malfunction and caused a long queue in one of the designated precincts.

Luckily, Board of Election Inspectors are deployed in every election voting sites to check on possible problems.

Meanwhile, in President Corazon Aquino Elementarty School in Brgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City, vote counting machines had to be shutdown to cool off after overheating due to the massive work load.

This based on a Twitter post by DZBB Super Radyo. A video was also included in the post, in which a massive queue of people was waiting to be able to cast their votes.

An officer in the precinct also explained that the incident happened to other VCMs as well. And they had to wait ten to fifteen minutes for it to work again.

Despite the minor hassle, as it can be seen the video, people patiently waited for their turns to cast their ballots.

It was not stated in the post if the machine started working again right after.

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.

As the election day progresses, expect more updates and remember to vote wisely if you haven’t casted your vote yet.
