This is how Empoy reacted to the tag that he’s now John Lloyd Cruz look-alike
Kapamilya comedian Empoy Marquez reacted to the tag that he is now the look-alike of A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz.
It is no doubt that Empoy is one of the most effective comedians in this generation. Aside from making people laugh, he was also able to brought “kilig” to viewers when he was paired with actress Alessandra de Rossi in the romantic-comedy movie Kita Kita.
Through that, he was able to change the perception of viewers towards leading men. He offered something new to moviegoers. Along with Alessandra they proved that tandems which people may perceive unconventional can still get the same response.
Indeed, their movie was a big hit. This opportunity allowed Empoy to explore a wider range of opportunity in show business.
His humor was brought to a larger audience through the teleserye Since I Found You with Alessandra, Piolo Pascual and Arci Munoz.
He worked with A-list actor, Piolo, and now he is tagged as the look-alike of another A-list actor.
Since John Lloyd Cruz has now a different look from his boy-next-door image before, many said that he now looks like Empoy, based on the report from Pang-Masa.
They now both have “balbas at bigote”. Furthermore the long hair of Lloydie has resemblance to the hair of the comedian.
With this, many people said that they are now look-alike. Based on the report, Empoy reacted about this during a recent interview on Tonight with Boy Abunda.
“Masaya ako dahil idol niya ‘ko. Magkamukha naman talaga kami ni John Lloyd dati pa!” the comedian said.
