The petition was filed by Lawyer Wilfredo Garrido Jr. to the office of the Ombudsman, which then proceeded to release a copy to the media.

It was filed against the two for allegedly putting up the PAO Forensic Laboratory without the Congress’ legislation and authorization.

The cases in the petition against Erfe and Acosta include allegations of dishonesty, oppression and grave misconduct in the performance of duty.

Garrido also revealed that there could be “imminent danger” that Acosta and Erfe could possibly tamper with PAO’s official records regarding the creation of the PAO Forensic Laboratory.

This is according to an article from GMA News.

Also the disbursement of funds intended for the lab’s support and maintenance, including:

  • salaries,
  • supplies,
  • equipment,
  • utilities,
  • representations,
  • allowances and,
  • emoluments.

These are all countable as proof of malversation of public funds.

Garrido filed the 20-page complaint earlier to the Office of the Ombudsman.

Garrido insinuated that Acosta and Erfe has violated the law against Graft and Corrupt Practices, falsification of public documents, malversation of public funds, and illegal use of public funds or property.

This is with regards to the Dengvaxia panic and the alleged unauthorized construction of the PAO Forensic Laboratory.

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
