Recently, vote buying incidents were also reported in Iloilo City. Luckily, police officials are keeping tight guard of just and fair elections.

The violators were arrested.

According to the police, they also seized acknowledgement receipts from Alyas Jim, where they allegedly let the voter sign to guarantee their support for the competing candidate for councilor.

Other than that, he also had a list of individual voters’ names who they qualified as recipients for the money.

However, the Alyas Jim denied that the money was from him. He claimed that a lady in a car handed him the envelopes and asked him to distribute it to the persons on the list.

This is according to an article from Radyo Inquirer.

Malabon’s police authorities are now looking for the lady suspect who gave Alyas Jim the money. They were also able to obtain the plate number of the suspect’s vehicle.

The decision will be passed on to the Comelec whether or not they will pursue the case against Alyas Jim.
