Filipino Flight Attendant Helps Mother Give Birth To Twins During Flight
FILIPINO – A Filipino flight attendant helped a passenger deliver her twin babies during their flight.
A flight attendant’s job revolves around the comfort and safety of their aircraft passengers.
Filipinos are among the most competitive workers for international airline companies because of their hospitality.
In a previous article, a Filipina flight attendant went viral after she breastfeeds the baby of a passenger.
The mother of the crying baby ran out of milk during their flight. Fortunately, the stewardess was able to feed her from her own milk.
Now, another Filipino flight attendant went viral after he helped a woman give birth inside the plane.
Based on a report from Preview, Philippine Airline employee John Paul Reyes helped the mother bring her twins into this world.
Reyes is a registered nurse from the University of Santo Tomas – College of Nursing but he decided to work for PAL since 2013.
According to the report, the Filipino flight attendant shared what happened and how he dealt with the situation.
“Our flight took off at around 1 a.m., Manila time. We started food service at around 1:45 a.m. Suddenly, a passenger approached one of our crew and said that his wife was experiencing stomach pain.”
“The crew then asked me if I could attend to the passenger. I immediately stopped the food service and went to the passenger’s assigned seat,” he added.
Based on the report, the passenger was just 8 months pregnant so she was allowed to fly after she showed her medical clearance.
The Filipino flight attendant said it’s a very fulfilling experience for him and thanked his professors in college for it.
“I was amazed that I still have knowledge about OB, even though my only experience with it was while I was still studying in college. I owe those lessons to my professors in the UST College of Nursing,” said Reyes.
The mother and her twins must be very thankful to have John Paul Reyes Reyes on their flight.
