Davaoeño Singer Advances To Top 24 Of ‘The Voice USA Season 16’
DAVAOEÑO – The Davaoeño singer Jej Vinson advanced to the next round of the singing competition ‘The Voice USA.’
The American singing competition The Voice is one of the most loved reality show in the United States.
Famous singers Adam Levine, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and Blake Shelton are the coaches for this season.
Based on a report from Philstar, a Filipino named Jej Vinson is one of the aspiring contestants of The Voice US season 16.
The Davaeño’s family moved to South Dakota at the age of 15. After turning 18, he searched for his career and studied to become a nurse in Los Angeles.
From being a nurse, he switched to become a musician and studied music at the University of Southern California.
According to the report, the Davaeño became the musical director of the award-winning acapella group “SoCal VoCals.”
He and his group went to perform in front of US former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama.
The Davaoeño stated that it was one of the best highlights of his career as a musician.
Jej shared that Brian McKnight, Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, Regine Velasquez, and Morissette Amon are among his vocal inspirations.
The Davaoeño has advanced to the next round of the famous reality show after he defeated LB Crew in the Cross Battle Round. He sang “Versace On The Floor” by Bruno Mars.

Jej took to the social media to express how excited and thankful he was to the Americans who voted for him.
