Man Who Portrays Jesus Christ During Holy Week Arrested On Buy-Bust Operation

MAN – A man who portrayed as Jesus Christ during the Holy Week got arrested due to illegal drugs.

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte vowed that he would be relentless to those people who are using and selling of illegal substance in the country.

Under the president’s administration, authorities have arrested thousands of users and sellers. Some end up dead because of resisting arrest.

In a previous article, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) intercepted the shipment of the illegal substance in Manila that’s worth P1.8 billion.

The authorities and the Bureau of Customs-Manila stated that it was from Vietnam.

The President war against drugs won’t be over soon for there are still people who are supporting the entry of illegal substance in the country.

Meanwhile, a man who played as Jesus Christ during the Holy Week was arrested for using illegal drugs.

Based on a report from Cebu Daily News, the authorities led by Police Major Eduard Sanchez nabbed Mark Anthony Jakosalem on April 21 at Sitio Maharlika in Brgy. Sambag 2, Cebu City.

The Abellana police officers conducted a buy-bust operation on the said location around 11 pm.

According to the report, the man has been playing the role of Jesus Christ since 2011 every Good Friday in their Barangay.

The 24-year-old man was caught in possession of several sachets of an alleged illegal substance that’s worth around P1,200.

Police Major Eduard Sanchez stated that the man is known for selling an illegal substance in Brgy. Sambag.

The police officer said the suspect is capable of selling more than a dozen sachets of the prohibited substance in a day.

Based on the report, the man is currently detained at Station 2 and waiting for the filing of charges against him.

He admitted that he sells prohibited substance before but he already stopped.
