Vice Ganda cried because of his Lolo Gonzalo
Kapamilya comedian-host Vice Ganda went emotional during the recent Gandang Gabi Vice episode as he recalled the memories he had with his Lolo Gonzalo.
Vice is known to be a family-oriented person and his avid viewers can attest to this. On his social media posts, several times he shared her bonding moments with his family and friends who also became part of his extended family.
One of the closest relative to the comedian is his Lolo Gonzalo. During last Sunday’s episode of GGV, as it was still his birthday celebration, he shared the fondest memories he had with his late grandfather.
One of the memories he shared was his “tampuhan” with his Lolo Gonzalo.
“‘Yan ‘yung nalulungkot ako kasi, ang dami kong pagkukulang diyan. Ako ‘yung pinakapaborito niyang apo. Tapos pinagawa ko siya ng bahay sa Project 6, doon siya nakatira. Pinapanood niya ako lagi,” Vice shared.
According to the comedian, there was a time when Lolo Gonzalo thought that his grandchild has no more time for him. It came to the mind of the old man that he was no longer relevant to Vice.
Because of that, Lolo Gonzalo decided to leave and went back to La Union.
“Tapos may isang pagkakataon na na-realize niya na wala nang panahon si Totoy sa akin. Parang, wala na akong relevance, hindi na ako napapansin ni Totoy. Lumayas siya, bumalik siya sa La Union,” he shared.
With tears in his eyes, Vice Ganda said that he personally went to La Union to make amends with his grandfather.
Lolo Gonzalo Dacumos died in 2014 at the age of 93 due to renal and respiratory failure, based on the article published on the site of Bandera.
