Batista Retires From Wrestling After Losing to Triple H At WrestleMania 53

BATISTA – Professional wrestler Batista announced his retirement after losing to Triple H at WrestleMania 35.

Professional wrestler, actor and mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter David Michael Bautista Jr. or Dave Batista is the son of a Filipino immigrant.

At the age of 17, he left his family and decided to live on his own. His jobs include being a lifeguard and a bouncer in a nightclub.

Batista pursued his career in bodybuilding and was discovered to become a professional wrestler and mixed martial art fighter.

The Fil-Am worked with famous wrestlers like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kane, and Doug Basham.

Aside from being a wrestler and MMA fighter, Batista was featured in hit tv series and movies in Hollywood.

He made an appearance in Smallville, Wrong Side of Town, The Man with the Iron Fists, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Surely, a lot of Filipino was proud of the achievements of the Fil-Am actor. However, he had some bad news to his WWE fans.

Based on a report from ABS-CBN, Dave Batista announced that he officially retired from WWE world champion after his last fight at the WrestleMania35 last Sunday.

The 50-year-old actor was defeated by Triple H. His opponent’s career was on the line so he really made sure to beat him on the ring.

Tonight was my storybook ending and I wanted to leave you with all I had to give…”

“I’ll miss this theater of violence more than I can express in words but I am officially retiring from Sports Entertainment,” he said.

According to the report, Batista expressed that he’s proud of everything that he has achieved. He also told his fans that he’s leaving his career in ‘great health.’

“I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished, I leave in great health, and without a doubt the show will go on. I had a hell of a run,” said Batista.

Surely, the former wrestler’s fans and supporters were all saddened by the news.
