Meralco Announces Hike on Electricity Rates this Month
The electric power distribution company Meralco announces an increase with their electricity rates that will be charged to the Filipino consumers.
Nowadays, electricity is considered as the blood of industry and one of the basic necessities of ordinary people to make life easier.
Most people and companies usually rely on electricity when it comes to their daily operations and transactions.
Additional cost of electricity rates would also affect and add to the daily burden of the Filipino consumers struggling with the soaring prices of basic commodities.
Recently, the Facebook page CNN Philippines reported that the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) announced a power rate hike this April 2019.
Meralco would add an additional charge of P0.0633 per kilowatt hour (kWh) to the monthly bill of the consumers.
A typical household consuming 200 kWh would have to bay an addition amount of P13 on their total electricity bill.
