BPI Announces Service Interruption on April 5-7, 2019

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) announced a service interruption from April 5 to 7, 2019 because of the major system upgrade.

Nowadays, most people usually relies their savings and transactions with trusted Bank companies.

Bank service interruptions could cause inconvenience and delay to the transactions of their clients and customers.

Recently, BPI released an advisory announcing a major systems upgrade to enhance the banking experience of the clients.

The major system upgrade would start 10 PM on April 5, 2019 (Friday) until 5 AM on April 7, 2019 (Sunday).

The upgrade would affect several bank transactions and services so clients are advised to plan weekend transactions in advance.

Here are the unavailable bank services due to the upgrade:

  • Online banking,
  • Mobile App
  • ATMs and Cash Accept Machines (CAMs)
  • Debit and Prepaid Card Services

BPI also advised its clients to plan weekend transactions such as bills and loans payment, funds transfers, CAM deposits, and ATM withdrawals accordingly.
