Jim Paredes finally admitted the “scandal video”
Veteran singer-songwriter Jim Paredes finally admitted that he is the man in the viral “scandal video” which circulated on social media just recently.
April 1st became controversial in the Philippines not just for April Fool’s Day but because of the spread of the said video.
Previously, Jim denied that the video is true. He answered “fake” to a netizen who asked about it. As the topic of “scandal video” lingered on social media, several netizens expressed various reactions.

After telling the online community that the video was fake, Jim Paredes admitted that it was really him.
His blog entry dated April 1 stated his side of the story. “The video was real. It was private, and not meant for public consumption,” he said.
The singer also stated that he did not how the video circulated on the online community. He admitted that at first he “was in a quandary how to respond.”
However, he decided to come clean. “ There are already too many lies and liars in this world. I do not wish to be a part of that cabal. I have chosen to be truthful because I know that painful as the truth can be, it will eventually set me free,” Jim said.
On the other hand, he clarified that he never projected himself as “perfect”. “I am not saying this to excuse what, I regret, was broadcast on social media,” he added.
Jim Paredes also apologized to the people who got disappointed in him because of this. In addition, he asked people to spare his family from the pain that he must solely accept.
