SM Introduces First-Ever In-Mall Customer Service AI Humanoid Robot
SM – The SM supermalls recently introduced the first-ever in-mall Artificial Intelligence (AI) humanoid robot as customer service.
There are some jobs better done by robots compared to humans. Most especially in factories where repetitive actions are needed and dangerous for us humans.
Robots is mostly used in factories for cars, electronic, and candy bars among others.
Nowadays, robots have usefully innovated because they can now perform a lot of tasks and applications.
One of the most exciting changes in the field of robotics is Artificial Intelligence (AI). It is a machine that tries to copy the human intelligence and responds to their actions.
Meanwhile, a famous mall in the Philippines, SM, recently introduced their AI humanoid robot, SAM. This mall certainly made efforts to be the first to improve customer service in the country.
Based on a report from When In Manila, SAM was launched last March 28, 2019.
SAM is programmed to offer a smoother, efficient and more personalized customer service.
According to the report, the Chief Operating Officer of SM Supermalls, Steven Tan, said their company aims to offer excellent service to their customers.

“SAM is easy to approach and has answers to almost everything SM mall related, making shopping more seamless and fun for our customers,” he added.
Based on the report, Filipinos can now see SAM at Mega Fashion Hall and SM Megamall’s Mega Atrium.
Aside from malls, the AI robot is also ready to serve 24/7 on SM’s Facebook Page as an online concierge.
