Grade 9 Teacher in Amlan Arrested for Possession of Illegal Drugs
TEACHER – A grade 9 teacher named Joy Q.
There is a saying that “school is the second home” of the students and their teacher were their second parents.
An institution is more than just a place to learn and study. It is also where the student molds himself for the future because they spend most of their waking hours at school.
Aside from our parents, teachers play a great role in our lives. Patience, honesty, and intelligence are one of the great examples a teacher would give us.
However, there are some who do not do these things. In spite of showing us good deeds, they are the ones who broke our hearts with disappointments from their wrong-doings.
Meanwhile, a public school teacher named Joy Q. Equio was arrested inside her classroom in Amlan National High School in Amlan, Negros Oriental.
The arrest was led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) of Negros Oriental IA1 Gladys Grace Cruz and Inspector Police Lieutenant Juvito M. Quirit.
The authorities implemented the search warrant on the teacher’s classroom around 4:30.
They confiscated five (5) packs of prohibited substance and paraphernalia that allegedly belonged to the teacher.
Based on the Facebook post of PDEA, the teacher will be facing charges for violation of Article II of RA 9165.
Netizens expressed their thoughts and opinions about the arrested teacher. Here are some of their comments on the post:
@Reyannah Mendoza: “For those who defended her, don’t sugar coat her wrongdoings… in the 1st place she’s professional and so mature enough to know the consequences”
@Carlos Abarico: “Gusto siguro yumaman ng madali”
@Dave Franis Teves Ybalig: “Hindi nyo pa alam kung ano ang dahilan nito, wag kayong mag husga”
