Around 350,000 job vacancies in Japan are now waiting for Filipino workers looking for high-salary job.
Skilled Filipino workers were among the in-demand employees qualified for the 100,000 job openings in Asia and its nearby countries.
The memorandum of cooperation was set to be signed in Tokyo on Tuesday (April 2, 2019) for the deployment of Pinoy workers.
The Labor Department and the Ministry of Justice, Foreign Affairs, Health, Labor and Welfare as well as the National Police Agency of Japan would participate in the signing of the agreement.
The cooperation agreement would not only give better job opportunities but will also strengthen the protection of skilled Filipino workers in Japan.
The agreement states that a specified skilled worker should have the ability to properly perform the tasks and receive the residence status from Japan’s government.
The specified skills are those who were in health care, building maintenance, food services, industrial machinery, electronics, food manufacturing, agriculture, hospitality, construction, shipbuilding, fisheries and aquaculture, parts and tooling and aviation.
The National Reintegration Center for OFWs (NRCO) would be the one to facilitate the reintegration of the returning specified skilled workers.
