Junjun Binay & Family Mourn Death of his Longtime Executive Assistant

JUNJUN BINAY – Former Makati City Mayor Junjun Binay spoke on the death of Monette Bernardo, his longtime executive assistant.

On Thursday night, an unexpected incident happened in Makati City. The said incident involved Monalisa “Monette” Bernardo, former Makati City Mayor Junjun Binay’s longtime executive assistant.

Bernardo, who was reportedly about to enter their house in Barangay Olympia at around 8:00 in the evening, was shot by still unidentified persons. The suspects were aboard a motorcycle.

Binay’s executive assistant was rushed to Makati Medical Center where surgery was done. Yesterday, March 22, 2019, former Vice President Jejomar Binay called out for prayers for the recovery of Bernardo.

Also, the former Vice President pledged to give Php 1-million to anyone who can give any information regarding the suspects of the incident.

Recently, former Makati City Mayor Junjun Binay announced the sad news that Monette Bernardo died. Through a post on his Facebook page, the former Vice Presidential son spoke on the death of his his longtime executive assistant.

According to Binay, “Monette was a kind, generous, and compassionate soul” whose friendship he treasured and valued deeply. He stressed that he and his family mourn her passing and are in the pursuit to give justice over the death of his longtime aide.

“The sadness and pain we feel today is indescribable; but it is matched by our resolve to secure justice for Monette and her loved ones,” the former Makati City mayor stated.

In his post, Junjun Binay extended their love and prayers to the loved ones of Monette Bernardo. He also left a heart-melting message for his longtime aide:

“Hindi ka namin malilimutan, Monette. We will not rest until those behind this tragedy are held accountable for this unforgivable crime.”
