Cebuana Student Angela Mancao Studies in Two Different Ivy League Schools Abroad
CEBUANA STUDENT – A Cebuana student named Angela Mancao is a scholar from Yale and Harvard University.
A Grade 12 student from St. Theresa’s College in Cebu City named Angela Mancao have already achieved so much at such a young age.
The Cebuana was interviewed by the Cebu Daily News Digital about her academic achievements in the country so as her adventures in Harvard and University.
Based on the report from Cebu Daily News, during the Charter Day celebrations on February, Angela Mancao was awarded as the Young Sugbuanon Exemplary and Action Driven Leaders (YOUSEAL) for the year 2019.
The Cebu City government are the ones who presented the award to the outstanding young lady.
The Cebuana spent two summers in Yale and Harvard University in the United States of America. These schools were considered as one of the most prestigious college schools in the US according to the Best College Reviews.
Among these prestigious colleges are the Cornell University and Brown University and all of them were situated on the US’ northern part.
According to the report, in 2017, the Cebuana was under Yale Young Global Scholar majoring Math and Science at Yale University. She is the only Pinoy in her class majoring the said subjects.
“I actually don’t remember how I found Yale, but I think I got an email to apply,” she said.
The 18-year-old student is dedicated to pursuing her desire to finish Public Management and Governance.
The Cebuana stated her classmates in Yale talked about the similarities of the program at Yale. She decided to try it for a summer class in 2018 so she applied and was eventually accepted.
Therefore, for two summers, Angela studied in two Ivy League Schools abroad.
Based on the report, Angela Mancao is an advocate for sustainable efforts for the environment. She and her fellow students promote ‘Hagit.’
