Illegal Wildlife Found Inside Plastic Container Sent Via Courier Company
One of the most popular courier companies in the Philippines was still being used to ship illegal wildlife throughout the country.
Nowadays, most people were taking courier companies to send important package to the respective recipients.
Courier companies offering fast, effective, and safe delivery to the recipients in any parts of the country are in demand.
Recently, the Facebook page “Pinoy Naturalist” has shared the photos of a certain type of Gecko placed inside a plastic container.
In the photos, it can be seen that the Gecko was placed inside a Tupperware send vie JRS Express, the leading courier company in the Philippines.
The Gecko found inside the plastic container could be considered as a clear violation of RA 8485 – The Animal Welfare Act of the Philippines, and RA 9147 – The Wildlife Conservation Act.
Geckos are types of lizards from the ‘Infraorder Gekkota’ family that can be found in warm climates countries all around the world.
