Mother of Christine Silawan Breaks Silence After Daughter’s Death
CHRISTINE SILAWAN – Mother of Christine Silawan reveals details about her daughter.
On Monday, a church servant named Christine Lee Silawan was found dead and skin peeled off her face in a grassy lot of Barangay Bankal in Lapu-Lapu City.
The teenager obtained 20 stab wounds and lost some of her internal organs.
Based on a report from Manila Bulletin, Central Visayas’ Chief Medico-Legal officer of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Crime Laboratory, Dr. Benjamin Lara released a statement after the autopsy.
“Other than her face was skinned, we noted in our examination that her trachea and the esophagus were missing. The musculature at the right side of the neck was also ripped off so the cervical vertebrae can already be seen. Aside from that, her tongue is also gone,” said Lara.
Dr. Benjamin Lara said the wrongdoers might not be responsible for the missing organs of the victim because she was left lifeless in an open area.
“There were animals there and there is a possibility that the missing organs may have been eaten by animals.”
They also concluded that Christine Lee Silawan was not raped.
The mother of the victim, Lourdes Silawan is still struggling to accept the horrible incident suffered by her beloved daughter.
“I have no more tears left to cry. I feel so weak. I don’t know if I can recover from this”
“She was a very good daughter. I couldn’t understand why someone had to do something barbaric to her. She was very kind, a silent type. She was my buddy, she was very obedient. She would do everything I tell her to do without complaining,” she added.
According to the report, Christine Silawan’s mother dropped to the ground after seeing her dead daughter’s body on the ground. She said the image of her lifeless daughter’s body keeps repeating on her mind.
“It keeps flashing in my mind. All I’m asking is justice. I am really hoping that the culprits will be arrested right away. My daughter didn’t deserve to die like this.”
Based on the report, P1 million worth of cash from Mayor Paz Radaza will be offered to anyone who can give information about the young girl’s killers.
The Police Regional Advisory Council are also giving a bounty of P100,000. Chief of Lapu-Lapu PNP Sr. Supt. Lemuel Obon promised Christine’s mom that they will arrest the culprits.
