Young Dancers Lost Lives During Vehicular Accident in Negros Oriental
The young dancers from Negros Oriental lost their lives in a vehicle accident while heading home after winning a dance competition.
Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental – young high school students got into a tragic accident with teacher while travelling home.
Basay NHS Mathsayaw Dancers went to Cebu and won in a Dance competition because of their impressive dancing skills and decided to go home from Dumaguete City to Bayawan City.
The group got into a vehicular accident at Zamboaguita Negros Oriental that take the lives of some young dancers.
Here is the list of the dancers who died in the accident:
Grade 11
- Christian Buenconsejo
- Joshua Busmeon
- Twin sisters Cherry Ann and Cherry Rose Cadusale
Grade 7
- Kevin Aguilar
The remains would be brought to their respective residences in Basay town, Negros Oriental on March 2, 2019 (Saturday).
Here is the list of survivors admitted at two local hospitals:
- Willie Chua
- Jessie Mae Sabanal
- Elmer Toquero
- James Bagarinao
- Justine Generoso
- Teacher John Mark Prestin
The Department of Education (DepEd) has also expressed their condolences for the family of the accident victims.
DepEd also commit to provide adequate support in the hard times of the victims’ loved ones.
