Still Unidentified Persons Shot Bacolod Businessman, Wife Inside Compound of Church
BACOLOD BUSINESSMAN – A businessman in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental was shot together with his wife inside a church compound.
Undeniably, attacks by unidentified persons towards politicians and businessmen are happening in the different parts of the country now. One of those who previously experienced such was Bacolod Councilor Cano Tan.
Tan was with his wife when the incident happened in Alangilan. They came from their prominent resort in Talisay City, the Campuestohan Highland Resort. Both of the couple obtained abrasions from the incident.
Recently, another Bacolod businessman was led to his death. Based on a recent social media post of Bombo Radyo Bacolod, Alex Yao and his wife, Maria Theresa Yao were shot inside a church compound on Tuesday night, February 19, 2019.
According to the report, the Bacolod businessman and his wife were inside the Redemptorist church compound along the B.S. Aquino Drive in Barangay 5 when the suspects shot them.
The companions of the victims aging 10 and 16 years old witnessed the incident. Mrs. Yao was about to give money to a child when the suspects, riding in a motorcycle, went near them.
One of the suspects allegedly went off the motorcycle, drive out the child, and shot Mr. Alex Yao. The businessman was brought to the hospital but he did not survive the incident.
Mrs. Yao who obtained a shot in her hand is still recovering in a private hospital in Bacolod. Based on the post, the couple has a lending business in the city.
According to Alyas Inday, one of those who witnessed the incident, there are two(2) suspects and they were wearing black jackets when they attacked the couple.
Currently, the police authorities are still investigating the incident.
