List of Items Allowed Inside Train Released by MRT-3
The Metro Rail Transit (MRT-3) has finally released the list of items allowed inside the train following the criticisms over the ban on bottled drinks.
Over the past few weeks, the ban of bottled water and other liquids inside the trains has been one of the most discussed topics on the social media.
The water bottle ban earns massive criticisms from the online community over the proposed transport policy.
The authorities made the announcement as a part of tightening and implementing the new security measures.
MRT-3 was also seeking a deeper understanding from the passengers since they were only doing it for public safety.
The management also explained that bottled drinks or any liquid substance could be used to create a liquid bomb.
“Nitroglycerin is oily and clear, so if it is poured in an opaque lotion bottle, no one would know what is inside. Because it is clear and oily, nitroglycerin would be easy to conceal in lotion or shampoo bottles. Nitroglycerin’s inherent instability would make this bottle very dangerous for you to carry around,” the MRT-3 management said.
Here is the list of following items allowed inside the MRT-3:
- Baby Formula/Breast Milk in Bottles
- Drinking Water for Children
- Medicines
- Beverage for Persons with Disabilities
- Life-Support and Life-Sustaining Liquids
- Medical & Cosmetics
The station also said that commuters could retrieve the items that have been held over the past few days after proper verification.
