Electricity Rates Set To Increase this February According to Meralco

MERALCO – The Manila Electric Company announced that there will be an increase on electricity rates this February.

One of the things that are part of the monthly household budget of most Filipino families is the electricity bill. The electric supply is really important in our everyday lives.

The importance of the supply of electricity is somehow mirrored when power interruptions happen. Many people can’t stand having no power supply for several hours.

However, every family is also accountable to their power consumption as electric bills must be paid monthly to the electric distribution company that covers their area.

In Manila, the electric supply is provided by the Manila Electric Company or more commonly known as Meralco. It was previously called Manila Electric Railroad and Light Company – where it got its acronym.
