Pope Francis revealed in a statement that nuns were maliciously abused by several Catholic priests and bishops leading to further troubles.

The Catholic Church was rocked by the pontiff’s latest revelations as response to the question of a journalist.

The admission of Pope Francis came after the outcry from the Vatican’s women’s magazine over the sexual abuse of nuns.

The sexually abused nuns were feeling forced to abort the child or raise it but not recognized by the guilty priest fathers.

“There are some priests and also bishops who have done it,” Pope Francis said.

Last year, an Indian bishop has been accused of repeatedly raping a nun causing dissent with the country’s Catholic Church.

The pontiff also said that the Vatican has already working on the issue and several Church clerics have been suspended.

Vatican’s Osservatore Romano newspaper released its February issue of “Women Church World” warning that nuns have remain silent over abused for decades fearing of retaliation.

Church official’s failure to take actions about the sexual abuse allegations was the biggest scandals to hit the Roman Catholic.
