Two-Headed Pig in Sultan Kudarat Goes Viral
A two-headed pig in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat sparked various speculations from the residents because of its weird physical appearance.
Recently, the pig owned by Adelita Dalipe of Barangay Calian in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat gives birth to eight swine.
The seven swine are normal but the last one is different among the others, which shocked the residents because of its unusual appearance.
The eighth pig has two heads, two snouts, and three eyes that sparked speculation in the area.
Dalipe said that she was only feeding her pig with feeds and explained that she had no idea about the physical appearance of the pig.
A certain veterinarian named Allan Alimajen Jr explained that the pig has Polycephaly, a medical conditions wherein the sperm attached together and failed fully develop.
Alimajen said that this condition is common for livestock animals and even to the human.
Currently, the two-headed pig is alive and actively moving but could not walk properly due to its overweighed head.
The owner named the weird animal as “Mara-Clara” and described it as a blessing. She also separates the pig from its siblings to take care of it.
