The SM Supermalls has finally released an official statement regarding the viral bomb scare text, which is now making rounds online.

Previously, the bomb scare text that allegedly came from SM Officers informing the public to avoid SM Malls for the meantime after they received a bomb threat from Abu Sayyaf.

In the text message, Abu Sayyaf was allegedly asking $15 million in just 1 week or else they’re going to bomb the mall.

The bomb threat immediately spread like a wildfire online causing fear and panic in different areas in the country.

Here is the text message:

“From SM Officers: Hi guys! Just an update, we just got a call from abusayaf right now asking SM for $15million! Or else they’re going to bomb the mall. We have 1 week to do that. We are on high alert now. Tell your love ones, friends and co workers better avoid any SM branch for the mean time. Better be safe than sorry. We are doing close security after receiving the call this morning. Don’t post on your walls as per request of the officer. But do inform relatives and friends. Please private message only.
