Talaba Washing Machine Invented by Ilonggo Ingenuity

A certain Ilonggo ingenuity from Jaro, Iloilo invented a Talaba washing machine making the cleaning of oyster easier and faster.

Nowadays, Oyster is one of the most popular seafoods served in seafood restaurants and eateries nationwide.

Most Filipino people are consuming oysters or locally called as Talaba either cooked or raw after it was harvested.

However, cooks and chefs need to wash or clean the oysters first before serving it to the consumers.

Recently, the Facebook page “Aksyonradyo Iloilo” has shared the video clip of the newly-invented Talaba washing machine.

A resident named Boy of Bitoon, Jaro in Iloilo City invented the “Talaba Washing Machine”  to make the cleaning of oysters easier and faster.

The oyster washing machine is made of plastic drum with steel bracket holding it, which is connected in a machine responsible for rotating the drum.

A power hose is used to wash the osyters inside the drum.

The device could wash up to 30 to 50 sacks of oysters every day and boy was charging P30 per sack.
