Tony Labrusca: Bureau Of Immigration Pushes To Deport The Actor

BI seeks deportation of Tony Labrusca

Bureau of Immigration pushes to deport Kapamilya actor Tony Labrusca following the issue he had at the airport before 2018 ended.

Tony came back to the country after he had a vacation in Canada but he was held at the immigration because there was a problem with his visa.

It was found out that he only has a tourist visa and not a working visa, and so he was only allowed to be in the Philippines for 30 days.

Reportedly, he shouted and cursed at an immigration officer because of what happened.

This issue branched out to other issues being thrown to the Glorious actor and he already apologized for what happened.

Recently, a report from Inquirer stated that BI Intelligence Division is pushing the deportation of Tony Labrusca.

BI Deputy Commissioner Tobias Javier said “the [BI] Intelligence Division recommended to the Legal Division the filing of a deportation case against Labrusca, I think for working without a permit.”

However, Javier said that the young actor also “filed a petition for recognition as a Filipino citizen, considering that both his parents are Filipinos.”

Board of Special Inquiry (BSI) will conduct hearings on the petition. Once there is a “sufficient basis to grant the petition, a recommendation will be submitted to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for confirmation.”

The deportation case will be rendered “moot and academic” if Tony’s petition will be granted.

“We could no longer deport him. He is already a Filipino,” Javier said.

He added that even Tony Labrusca committed an offense for having no working permit before his petition is granted, he will just face an administrative case, based on the report.

Tony is the son of actor Boom Labrusca and model Angel Jones. He grew up in the US and Canada eventhough both of his parents are Filipinos.
