A heartwarming story about Mangyan workers of Willie Revillame
Wowowin host Willie Revillame shared a heartwarming story about his Mangyan worker.
The TV host recently acquired a property in Puerto Galera. He bought a resthouse which has become his new favorite place to relax.
Willie, most of the time, comes to his rest house along with his production staff in the Kapuso game show.
A report published on PEP stated that the host’s workers in his new property are Mangyans.
He said that he felt pity for them because they did not have the chance to study and so they can’t read and write.
“Ang mga kausap ko, mga Mangyan. Sila ang nag-aayos ng buhangin. Nakakaawa sila dahil mga no read, no write,” the host shared.
In spite of this, Willie Revillame shared a tearjerker story about one of his Mangyan worker.
“Sinabi ng tao ko, ‘Sir, yun pong naka-orange T-shirt, nagsoli ng P1,200 kasi raw, sobra yung bayad sa kanya. Apat na araw lang ang ipinasok niya.’ Naluha ako. Sabi ko, ‘Halika, bakit mo isinoli yung P1,200?’,” Willie shared.
The worker answered him, “Mali po kasi apat na araw lang po akong pumasok.”
Willie said that it touched his heart and as a result of his worker’s gesture, he gave him money, jacket,
As the host was still amazed about the Mangyan’s good trait, he said, “Yung mga Mangyan, sila ang naglilinis ng mga gubat. Naluluha ako nang paalis na siya.”
Willie Revillame comes to his new resthouse through his own helicopter and when asked about his secret to success, he answered that being generous to other people is a great factor.
