Controversial “Mt. Kamuning” Footbridge Reopens

The controversial “Mt. Kamuning” footbridge for pedestrians has finally reopened in Quezon City but with landing areas this time.

The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has reopened the footbridge in Quezon City, which has been involved in a controversy.

The footbridge has been dubbed as “Mt. Kamuning” because of its height and received criticisms from the public.

The public described their experience using the 30-feet-high footbridge as “nakakalula” and “masakit sa binti.”

MMDA closed the footbridge late last year for redesigning aiming to make it more convenient for the public.

The “Mt. Kamuning” footbridge amounting P10 million has been reopened to the public but will landing areas so pedestrian could rest while climbing the steps.
