Based on a report from Manila Bulletin, the MV Sincerity Ace caught fire last New Year’s Eve and all of the crew abandoned their ship near the Island of Hawaii.
The cargo vessel was carrying 3,500 brand new vehicles from Japan going to Hawaii. After discovering the fire, the seafarers immediately left the ship.
According to the report, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) gave a statement last Monday regarding the burned cargo vessel.
