Major Eclipses Expected This 2019
Here is the list of interesting major eclipses that skygazers could expect this 2019, according to the astronomy magazine.
The “Sky & Telescope Magazine” announced that there are five astronomical events that the people could witness this year.
The magazine said that skygazers could witness three Solar Eclipse; such as partial, annular, and total, along with a total and partial ‘Lunar Eclipse’.


Here are the schedules of five major eclipse this 2019:
- Partial Solar Eclipse (January 6)
In the first week of January, the people could witness a partial solar eclipse but the citizens of Srednekolymsk in central Siberia could see the greatest event.
- Total Lunar Eclipse (January 20-21)
The total lunar eclipse will last for about three and a half hours wherein many people are calling this event as “super blood wolf moon”.
- Total Solar Eclipse (July 2)
This astronomical event would last to 4 minutes and 33 seconds but could be best viewed along South Pacific Ocean some 700 miles north of Easter Island.
- Partial Lunar Eclipse
This event is best viewed a few moments before dawn on 17th of July.
- Annular Solar Eclipse
Before 2019 ends, 3.3 hours of annular solar eclipse across the Eastern Hemisphere.
