Dark Mode In Messenger To Begin Test In Certain Countries

Facebook Messenger Dark Mode Will Be Tested In Certain Countries

DARK MODE – Facebook is currently testing out the dark mode feature in selected countries in addition to their new and improved Messenger app.

According to a report in Inquirer, a tech blogger named Jane Manchun Wong, who is well known for her use of reverse-engineering strategies to uncover upcoming tech features, announced the release of the said feature.

Her announcement came after Messenger said on its official account on Twitter that the feature will be introduced after the release of the new Messenger

However, according to Wong, due to a prolonged external nagging, they have started testing the feature in selected countries. She further noted that Facebook added a fair warning that the feature is a work in progress and it’s not everywhere, advising readers not to complain if the user interface (UI) “burns your eyes off”.

There are netizens who have tried to check if they have the feature, yet, they end up in dissapointment.

As per the report, a netizen named Ryan Hager asked Wong if she knows the countries where dark mode is being tested. In return, Wong said she have no idea, noting that it requires travelling from country to country to know the answer.
