Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Says Number Of Passengers Stranded Due To Tropical Depression “Usman” Reduced

PCG – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) recently said on their post that the number of stranded passengers in ports have been reduced as “Usman” leaves PAR.

When tropical depression Usman, travels to Visayas and some parts in Southern Luzon were cancelled, leaving many passengers in stranded in ports of these areas. The residents were also advised to stay alert and evacuate.

Recently, the Philippine Coast Guard posted this on Twitter:

According to this data, 148 passengers were currently left stranted: with 115 from Mauban Port in Quezon; and 33 drom Banica Wharf in Capiz.

There is one stranded vessel in Palawan and three stranded motorbanks in Capiz.

The PCG further advise all of its units to ensure strict implementation of HPCG Memorandum Circular Number 02-13, which guides vessels where not to go especially during heavy weather.
