Instagram Gets Back to Normal After Switching from Vertical to Horizontal Scrolling

INSTAGRAM – Picture-sharing platform Instagram got back to normal after they accidentally switched from vertical to horizontal scrolling.

Photo and video sharing application Instagram is owned by Facebook Inc. The app was created by Mike Krieger and Kevin Systrom.

Last October 2010, Instagram was officially launched to the public and was instantly loved by many because of beautiful filters.

Filipino celebrities like Kris Aquino is one of the billion people who are fond of posting their status on that social media application.

Based on a report from Techcrunch, Instagram accidentally changed the feed which a lot of netizens get annoyed and felt awkward of using it.

Users of the app were shocked when their usual vertical swipe turned into horizontal swipe. They immediately complained about the sudden change.

According to the report, the spokesperson of the social media app explained that their application was bugged but they fixed it right away.

“Due to a bug, some users saw a change to the way their feed appears today. We quickly fixed the issue and feed is back to normal. We apologize for any confusion”

Based on the report, head of Instagram Adam Mosseri stated that they were testing the new feature of the app into a small group of people. They didn’t expect that the bug would spread into numerous users than planned.

Mosseri said the users should restart the social media application to get back to the normal interfacing of Instagram.
